GroundWork provides bespoke support to clients based on an analysis of their needs, capacities and that of their partner institutions. This enables us to operate a robust and flexible system to deliver high quality products to our clients in a timely manner.

Environmental Commitment

Our support to nutrition and health studies in countries around the world requires regular travel by plane. We acknowledge that this air travel emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and contributes to climate change. In order to balance out our carbon footprint from air travel, we make annual donations to The Nature Conservancy (https://www.nature.org) as part of their carbon offset program. We began offsetting our carbon emissions in 2017, and our carbon offset reports can be found here.

Child Protection

GroundWork conducts research projects that often investigate child and adolescent health and involve the inclusion of minors under 18 years of age, who are recognised to be a particularly vulnerable population group. We believe that the welfare of children is the highest priority, and that is it the responsibility of everyone who works for and with GroundWork to ensure that children are protected from abuse and exploitation. GroundWork has developed a child protection policy and requires that all employees read and sign this policy.

As part of this policy, GroundWork has a dedicated Child Protection Staffer to receive and manage reports of violations of GroundWork’s child safeguarding or protection procedures. This staffer will determine on a case-by-case basis how to investigate or escalate reports of violations of GroundWork’s child safeguarding or protection procedures. Click – report child safeguarding issues – to directly contact GroundWork’s Child Protection Staffer.
